FAQs

> My user name and/or password isn’t working. What should I do?

Make sure you are logging into the secure FTP Web site (https://ftps.nslc.org) and not the Clearinghouse home page (studentclearinghouse.org), which requires a different user name and password.

If you are attempting to login to the correct Web site, make sure you have entered your user name and password correctly.

User names and passwords are case sensitive.
Make sure that caps lock is not on.

If you tried to log in using an incorrect password more than five times in two minutes, your account will be locked. Contact ftpadmin@studentclearinghouse.org to have your account reset. For more information, read our FTP account password policy.

> I tried to review a file, but the system says it has been deleted. Why?

The Clearinghouse system automatically downloads your file from your user folder to the Clearinghouse database for processing. Once files are successfully downloaded, the Clearinghouse deletes them. You will receive an FTP acknowledgement email when we have downloaded your file.

> When I attempt to log in, I get an error that says I “can’t sign on from this location.” What do I do?

Contact secureftp@studentclearinghouse.org.

> How do I update the users designated to receive FTP notification emails?

To make changes to your designated contacts, email secureftp@studentclearinghouse.org.

> Which directory do I upload my files into?

The home folder: /Home/00123400
